![]() I'm not complaining or saying it should be different. Want it fast? Settle for inferior images. Want quality? Got to wait while it loads. ![]() This all goes back to the Flash output option. Imagine how much longer they'll have to wait for a 5 or 10 minute show! I don't know how many people are going to want to sit and wait that long while a short playing show loads. Remember, this was a 1 minute 36 second show, but it took 3 to 4 minutes on a fast broadband cable connection just to start playing. The problem with the file sizes is with viewing the shows. Take a look at the size differences of the two PX files again. The PX file that was created is roughly 194MB in size. Quality was good at the default size of 600 x 450, but when viewed full screen it looked great! The images were just as you'd want them to look and the captions were crisp and clear as could be. ![]() Once the file uploaded, which took quite a while, I was able to view the show. I then created the PX file and used Photodex's "upload" feature to add the show to My Collection from their site. I also chose the highest quality settings for output. ![]() For my test I used my screen's native resolution of 1680 x 1050. Using "Web Show" you can choose to designate a maximum rendering size. ![]() The PX file that was created is roughly 36MB in size. Using Full Screen results in a fuzzy low-res image that doesn't look very good in comparison. Quality is good as long as you view it at the default size. Once Producer uploaded the PX file to My Collection at the Photodex site I was able to view the show. The show plays at 600 x 450 by default at Photodex's sharing section. Using "Share Online" you don't get to select viewing size or maximum rendering limit. I decided to do a small test using the "Share Online" option versus using the "Web Show" option to create a PX file for a small 1 minute 36 second show with no video. ![]()
